1. Installation of Google Earth Pro

1.1. Version 7.3.2

  • Run the googleearth-pro-win-7.3.2.exe file with administrative privileges.

  • Uncheck Add Desktop Shortcut.

  • Uncheck Run After Install.

  • Uncheck Help make Google Earth better by automatically sending anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to Google.

Install Google Earth Pro to:    C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Earth Pro

  • Click Install.

  • Wait.

  • Click OK.

1.2. Version 7.1.7.2602

  • Run the googleearth-win-pro-7.1.7.2602.exe file with administrative privileges.

  • Uncheck Add Desktop Shortcut.

  • Uncheck Run After Install.

  • Click Install.

  • Click OK.

1.3. Fix startup issue

  • Google Earth is unable to contact the login server.

  • See: https://windowsreport.com/google-earth-server-error/

  • Launch Google Earth Pro.

  • Click Help menu and select Launch Repair Tool.

  • Leave the Repair Tool open but close Google Earth Pro.

  • Select Google Earth Pro for product to repair.

  • Check at the Switch between OpenGL and DirectX is using OpenGL.

  • Click the Clear disk cache.

  • Wait.

  • Click the Restore default settings.

  • Wait.

  • Click Close.

  • Launch Google Earth Pro to check the issue is still present.
