1.1. 2018-10-29

We have our Graphpad Prism renewal now. We no longer receive a new serial number each year. Our existing license was simply extended thru October 31, 2019. MORU Prism users can continue using Prism with their existing serial number as long as they update to Prism versions 7.05 (Windows) or 7.0e (macOS), or later. There’s no need to reactivate/re-distribute.

1.2. 2018-10-30

This software expires on 2019-10-31.
SMRU got 3 licenses from MORU and MORU pays for it.
One license cost $50 per year.
The licenses are for Cindy’s MacBook, the doctors (SMRUWS-DC03) and Victor’s desktop (SMRUWS-LB02). Cindy installed herself & Dean directly contact with her.

2. macOS

2.1. Installation

Make sure that the computer has direct access to the internet and that the proxy server is disabled.

  • Run the InstallPrism8.dmg file with administrative privileges.

  • ???

3. Windows

3.1. Installation

  • Make sure that the computer has direct access to the internet and that the proxy server is disabled.

  • The serial number, machine ID and activation code are stored in KeePass Password Safe.

  • We need to use cindy@tropmedres.ac for Cindy’s MacBook, smru-it@shoklo-unit.com for SMRUWS-DC03 and victor@shoklo-unit.com for SMRUWS-LB02 otherwise it doesn’t work.

  • If it does not work you will get this message The email is not in the list of addresses authorized to activate this serial number.

  • Run the InstallPrism8-64bit.msi file.

    C:\Program Files\GraphPad\Prism 8

  • Click Install.

  • The browser will be opened.

  • Click Submit.

  • An email will be sent to the above entered email address.

  • Close the browser.

  • Click Enter activation code.

  • Enter the activation code.

  • Check I agree to the GraphPad license agreement.

  • Click Start using Prism.

  • Click Cancel in the Welcome to Graphpad Prism window.

  • Close GraphPad Prism.

3.2. Configuration

  • Start GraphPad Prism with administrative privileges.

  • Click Cancel in the Welcome to Graphpad Prism window.

  • Select Edit > Preferences.

  • Select the Services tab.

  • Uncheck Automatically check for new Prism versions.

  • Click OK.

  • Select Help > About Prism to see when the license expires.

  • Click OK.

  • Close GraphPad Prism.

3.3. Updates

Make sure that the computer has direct access to the internet and that the proxy server is disabled.

The following instructions will install Graphpad Prism 8. Any previous Graphpad Prism versions are not uninstalled and can be left untouched. Then users have the choice to use whatever Graphpad Prism version.

  • Run the InstallPrism8-64bit.msi file.

    C:\Program Files\GraphPad\Prism 8

  • Click Install.

  • Click Finish.

  • Click Cancel in the Welcome to Graphpad Prism window.

  • Close GraphPad Prism.

3.4. License expired date check

  • Log on as Administrator.

  • Start GraphPad Prism.

  • Select Help > About Prism.

  • Click OK.

  • Close GraphPad Prism.

3.5. License renewal on SMRUWS-DC03

  • Log on as Administrator.

  • Start GraphPad Prism.

  • Close Welcome to GraphPad Prism windows.

  • Close GraphPad Prism windows.

  • Click Enter New Serial Number.

  • Click Next Step.

  • Fill the Prism Registration form in the browser.
