3.1. Installation

  • Run the idafree76_windows.exe file with administrative privileges.

  • Click Next.

  • Choose I accept the agreement.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Finish.

3.2. Usage

  • Start IDA Freeware.

    • Optional: Uncheck I want to help improve IDA.

    • Optional: Click OK.

    • Optional: Click I Agree.

  • Click New.

  • Select the C:\Tmp\termsrv.dll file.

  • Click Open.

  • Click OK.

  • Click Yes to look for the .pdb file.

  • Click OK to acknowledge the ntapi64_win7: No such file or directory warning.

  • Select File > Produce file > Create ASM file.

  • Click Save.

  • Close IDA Freeware.

    • Select File > Exit.

    • Check DON’T SAVE the database.

    • Click OK.
