2.1. Configuration of LibreOffice 4.1

Start LibreOffice.
-
Select Tools | Options.
-
Select LibreOffice | General.
-
Check Use LibreOffice dialogs.

Optional: Select LibreOffice | View.
-
Select Automatic | Automatic (Tango) for icon size and style. ???
-
Optional: Select Automatic | Galaxy (default) for icon size and style.
-
Click OK.
-
Close LibreOffice.
3. LibreOffice
3.1. Creation of new database
-
Start LibreOffice Base.
-
Choose Create a new database.
● Yes, register the database for me ○ No, do not register the database ■ Open the database for editing ■ Create tables using the table wizard
-
Click Finish.
-
Select the Documents folder.
File name: New Database.odb Save as type: ODF Database (*.odb) ■ Automatic file name extension
-
Click Save.
-
Choose Personal.
-
Select CD-Collection for the sample tables.
-
Select AlbumTitle" and click the *> button.
-
Select Artist and click the > button.
-
Select ReleaseYear and click the > button.
-
Click Finish.
-
Close LibreOffice Base.
3.2. Connection to PostgreSQL database
-
Start LibreOffice Base.
-
Choose Connect to an existing database.
-
Select PostgreSQL.
-
Click Next.
Datasource URL: host=10.10.1.2 port=5432 dbname=anc-master Datasource URL: host=maesot dbname=anc-master
-
Click Next.
User name: smru
■ Password required
-
Click Test Connection.
-
Type the level l2 password and click OK.
-
Click OK at the The connection was established successfully message.

Click Next.

Click Finish.

Select the Documents folder.
File name: anc-master Save as type: ODF Database (*.odb) ■ Automatic file name extension

Click Save.

Close LibreOffice Base.

Start LibreOffice Base.

Choose Open an existing database.
Recently used: anc-master

Click Finish.

Close LibreOffice Base.
