2.1. NVivo 12

2.1.1. Installation

  • Run the NVivo12.x64.exe file with administrative privileges.

  • Select English (United States).

  • Click OK.

  • Click Install.

  • Click Next.

  • Choose I accept the terms in the license agreement.

  • Click Next.

  • Uncheck Create a desktop shortcut.

    C:\Program Files\QSR\NVivo 12\

  • Click Next.

  • Uncheck NCapture for Internet Explorer.

  • Uncheck NCapture for Chrome.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Install.

  • Uncheck Launch NVivo 12.

  • Click Finish.

2.1.2. Activation

  • Note: MORU will enter the license key.

  • Note: Use Microsoft Teams with the Take Control feature to give MORU access to the computer.

  • Start NVivo 12.

  • Start NVivo 12.

  • Select File > Options.

  • Select Notifications tab.

  • Select Check for software updates | Never.

  • Click Apply.

  • Click OK.

  • Close NVivo 12.

2.1.4. Renew License

  • Note: It is better to wait until the license expires.

  • Start NVivo 12.

  • Select File | Help.

  • Select Manage License | Replace License.
