2.1. Installation

Copy the adksetup.exe installation file to the local hard drive. If it is located on a network drive the installation will fail with the "Setup cannot locate Toolkit Documentation-x86_en-us.msp" error message.

3. Windows 8.1

3.1. Installation

Copy the adksetup.exe installation file to the local hard drive. If it is located on a network drive the installation will fail with the "Setup cannot locate Toolkit Documentation-x86_en-us.msp" error message.

 
● Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit for Windows 8.1 to this computer
    Install Path:       C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1

○ Download the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit for Windows 8.1 for installation on a separate computer
    Download Path:      C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\Windows Kits\8.1\ADK

  • Click Next.

  • Choose No to skip participating in the Customer Experience Improvement Program.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Accept.

  • Click Install.

  • Uncheck Launch the Getting Started Guide.

  • Click Close.

4. Windows 10

4.1. Installation

  • Note: Uninstall any previous Windows ADK.

  • Run the adksetup-10.1.19041.1.exe file with administrative privileges.

  • Choose Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit - Windows 10 to this computer.

● Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit - Windows 10 to this computer
    Install Path:       C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10

○ Download the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit - Windows 10 for installation on a separate computer
    Download Path:      C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\Windows Kits\10\ADK

  • Click Next.

  • Choose No to skip sending anonymous usage data to Microsoft for the Windows 10 Kits.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Accept.

4.2. Installation of WinPE add-on

  • Note: Uninstall any previous WinPE add-on.

  • Note: This will download 5.7 GB of additional data.

  • Run the adkwinpesetup-10.1.18362.1.exe file with administrative privileges.

  • Choose Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit Windows Preinstallation Environment Add-ons - Windows 10 to this computer.

● Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit Windows Preinstallation Environment Add-ons - Windows 10 to this computer
    Install Path:       C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10

○ Download the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit Windows Preinstallation Environment Add-ons - Windows 10 for installation on a separate computer
    Download Path:      C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\Windows Kits\10\ADKWinPEAddons

  • Click Next.

  • Choose No to skip sending anonymous usage data to Microsoft for the Windows 10 Kits.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Accept.

■ Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE)

  • Click Install.

  • Click Close.

  • Choose Install the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit - Windows 10 to this computer.
