1. Windows Updates

  • Open PC settings.

  • Select Update & Security.

  • Select the Windows Update tab.

  • Click Check for updates.

  • Close PC settings.

2. Software updates.

  • Update all installed software to the latest version.

3. Delta Windows Tools

  • Install the latest Delta Windows Tools.

  • Enter the following commands at a Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

    net use W: \\SMRU-HyperV01\Windows$ /P:No
    dir W:\Software\_Delta\Delta-Windows-Tools-#.#.#-x64.exe
    W:\Software\_Delta\Delta-Windows-Tools-#.#.#-x64.exe

4. Windows Configuration

  • Enter the following commands at a Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

    Set-WindowsConfiguration

5. Disk Cleanup

  • Start Disk Cleanup with administrative privileges.

  • Select the C: drive and click OK.

  • Select the Disk Cleanup tab.

  • Check all checkboxes, except for Downloads.

  • Click OK.

  • Click Delete Files.

  • Click Yes to clean up any previous Windows installations.

  • Wait for Disk Cleanup to finish.

6. Printers

show-inventory          rem Find printers.
???                     rem Remove printers.

7. Security

  • Scan.

8. User Profiles

  • Open Control Panel > System.

  • Select Advanced system settings.

  • Select the Advaned tab.

  • Click User Profiles > Settings.

  • Remove any unknown user profiles.

  • Remove any obsolete user profiles.

  • Click OK.

  • Click OK.

  • Close System.

9. Inventory

  • Run inventory script file.

  • Copy inventory files to Inventory folder.

  • Enter the following commands at a Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

    show-inventory
