Windows Installations

Enter the following commands at a Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

reg.exe query HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
reg.exe add   HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /t REG_DWORD /v LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy /d 1 /f
reg.exe query HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Windows Vista and earlier: Use <ComputerName>\<UserName> for the user name to connect to the C$ share.

Windows 10 and later: Use <UserName> for the user name to connect to the C$ share.

Todo: Make unattend file work.

Boot from the en_windows_vista_enterprise_sp2_x64_dvd_342332.iso file.

Boot from the en_windows_vista_enterprise_sp2_x86_dvd_342329.iso file.

Click Next.

Click Install now.

Press Shift+F10 to open a Command Prompt.

Close the ??? window.

Enter the following commands at the Command Prompt.

wpeutil.exe InitializeNetwork
ipconfig.exe
net.exe use W: \\<ip-addr>\C$ /Persistent:No
setup.exe /unattend:W:\Unattend-x86.xml         (1)
setup.exe /unattend:W:\Unattend-x64.xml         (2)

Language to install:            English (United States)
Time and currency format:       English (United States)
Keyboard or input method:       US

Click Next.

Check I accept the license terms.

Click Next.

Click Custom (advanced).

Drive 0 Unallocated Space       100.0 GB        100.0 GB

Click Next.

Wait about 30 minutes for the installation to finish.

Type Delta in the Type a user name field.

Type the Level 2 password in the Type a password field.

Type the Level 2 password in the Retype your password field.

Type Level 2 in the Type a password hint field.

Click Next.

Type VBOX-WIN-VISTA in the Computer name field.

Click Next.

Click Use recommended settings.

Select (GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna.

Click Next.

Click Work for the network location.

Click Start.

Boot from the en_windows_10_enterprise_2016_ltsb_x64_dvd_9059483.iso file.

Boot from the en_windows_10_enterprise_2016_ltsb_x86_dvd_9060010.iso file.

Press Shift+F10 to open a Command Prompt.

Enter the following commands at the Command Prompt.

wpeutil.exe InitializeNetwork
ipconfig.exe
net.exe use W: \\<ip-addr>\C$ /Persistent:No
setup.exe /unattend:W:\Unattend-x86.xml         (1)

32-bit: Select Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB x86 7/16/2016.

64-bit: Select Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB x64 7/16/2016.

Click Next.

Check I accept the license terms.

Click Next.

Drive 0 Unallocated Space       100.0 GB        100.0 GB

Click Next.

Wait about 30 minutes for the installation to finish.

Turn all Personalization and Location options off.

Click Next.

Turn all Connectivity and error reporting options off.

Click Next.

Turn all Browser, protection, and update options off.

Click Next.

Click Yes at the Networks dialog to allow this PC to be discoverable by other PCs and devices on this network.

Boot from the en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_5795bb03.iso file.

Boot from the en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x86_dvd_892869c9.iso file.

Boot from the en-us_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_d289cf96.iso file.

Boot from the en-us_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x86_dvd_9f4aa95f.iso file.

Press Shift+F10 to open a Command Prompt.

Enter the following commands at the Command Prompt.

LTSC 2021 32-bit: Select Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC x86 10/6/2021.

LTSC 2021 64-bit: Select Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC x64 10/6/2021.

Click Next.

Check I accept the license terms.

Click Next.

Drive 0 Unallocated Space       100.0 GB        100.0 GB

Click Next.

Wait about 30 minutes for the installation to finish.

Select Netherlands for the country or region.

Click Yes.

Select US for the keyboard layout or input method.

Click Yes.

Click Skip to skip adding a second keyboard layout.

LTSC 2019: Select Don’t use online speech recognition and click Accept.

LTSC 2021: Click Accept to accept the Windows 10 License Agreement.

Select No for Let Microsoft and apps use your location and click Accept.

Select No for Find my device and click Accept.

LTSC 2019: Select Basic for Send diagnostic data to Microsoft and click Accept.

LTSC 2021: Select Send Required diagnostic data for Send diagnostic data to Microsoft and click Accept.

Select No for Improve inking & typing and click Accept.

Select No for Get tailored experiences with diagnostic data and click Accept.

Select No for Let apps use advertising ID and click Accept.

Click Yes at the Networks dialog to allow this PC to be discoverable by other PCs and devices on this network.

Boot from the en-us_windows_11_enterprise_ltsc_2024_x64_dvd_965cfb00.iso file.

Boot from the en-us_windows_11_consumer_editions_version_25h2_updated_feb_2026_x64_dvd_c975b6ac.iso file.

Language to install             English (United States)
Time and currency format        English (United States)

Click Next.

Keyboard or input method        US

Click Next.

Check I agree everything will be deleted including files, apps, and settings.

Click Next.

Select Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC x64 9/6/2024.

Select Windows 11 Home x64 2/6/2026.

Click Next.

Check I accept the Microsoft Software License Terms..

Click Next.

Drive 0 Unallocated Space       100.0 GB        100.0 GB

Click Next.

Wait about 30 minutes for the installation to finish.

Select Netherlands for the country or region and click Yes.

Select US for the keyboard layout or input method and click Yes.

Click Skip to skip adding a second keyboard layout.

Select No for Let Microsoft and apps use your location and click Accept.

Select No for Find my device and click Accept.

Select Required only for Send diagnostic data to Microsoft and click Accept.

Select No for Improve inking & typing and click Accept.

Windows Enterprise: Select No for Get tailored experiences with diagnostic data and click Accept.

Windows Home: Select No for Get personalized offers from Windows and click Accept.

Click Yes at the Networks dialog to allow this PC to be discoverable by other PCs and devices on this network.

Open Settings > Accounts > Other users.

Select Add account.

Select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information.

Select Add a user without a Microsoft account.

Enter a username, a password, and the security questions to complete the setup.
