1. Servers

  • 192.168.88.9 SMRU-USB-MRM

  • Note: Because SMRU-USB-MRM is inside the SMRU-Guest network, it cannot communicate with AD, SEPM and WSUS.
    However, setting up a temporarily OpenVPN connection will allow it to communicate with the SMRU network.

2. Updates

  • PuTTY: Log on as Administrator (putty.exe 10.10.1.170 -P 22222).

  • RDP: Log on as Administrator (mstsc.exe /v 10.10.1.170:3389).

  • Open PC settings.

  • Select Update & Security.

  • Select the Windows Update tab.

  • Click Check for updates.

  • Close PC settings.

3. Delta Windows Tools

  • PuTTY: Log on as Administrator (putty.exe 10.10.1.170 -P 22222).

  • RDP: Log on as Administrator (mstsc.exe /v 10.10.1.170:3389).

  • Install the latest Delta Windows Tools.

  • Enter the following commands at a Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

    net use W: \\SMRU-HyperV01\Windows$ /P:No
    dir W:\Software\_Delta\Delta-Windows-Tools-#.#.#-x64.exe
    W:\Software\_Delta\Delta-Windows-Tools-#.#.#-x64.exe

4. Configuration

  • PuTTY: Log on as Administrator (putty.exe 10.10.1.170 -P 22222).

  • RDP: Log on as Administrator (mstsc.exe /v 10.10.1.170:3389).

  • Enter the following commands at a Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

    Set-WindowsConfiguration

5. Inventory

  • PuTTY: Log on as Administrator (putty.exe 10.10.1.170 -P 22222).

  • RDP: Log on as Administrator (mstsc.exe /v 10.10.1.170:3389).

  • Run inventory script file.

  • Copy inventory files to Inventory folder.

  • Enter the following commands at a Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

    show-inventory
