1. Installation

  • Run the LansweeperSetup.exe file with administrative privileges.

  • Click Next.

  • Choose I accept the Lansweeper Terms of Use.

  • Click Next.

  • Choose Easy install.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Next.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper

  • Click Install.

  • Wait for the installation to finish.

  • Click Finish.

  • Click Yes to reboot the computer.

2. Configuration

  • Browse to Lansweeper.

  • Log in with your SMRU domain account.

  • Close Browse.

2.1. First Time Setup

  • Start Lansweeper Web Console or browse to http://localhost:81.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Request a trial key.

  • Type your email address in the example@yourcompany.com field.

  • Uncheck Subscribe to Newsletter.

  • Click Submit.

  • Check your email inbox and open the Lansweeper Trial Key email.

  • Click Grab Your Trial Key and it will download a file name Trial.txt.

  • Copy and paste the product key from the Trial.txt file to the Unlock your installation box.

  • Click Next.

  • Type Admin in the Username field.

  • Type SMRU Temporary Password in the Password field.

  • Uncheck Give one of my Windows users full web console access.

  • Click Next.

  • Check Enable Asset Radar (remommended).

  • Check Enable Extended Display Scanning (recommended).

  • Check Enable IP range scanning (recommended).

  • Type 10.10.1.1 in the Start field.

  • Type 10.10.1.254 in the End field.

  • Click Next.

  • Wait for the scan to be finished.

  • Do your things.
