Veeam Backup And Replication

1. Installation

Right-click VeeamBackup&Replication_11.0.1.1261_20220302.iso and select Open with > Windows Explorer.
Run the Setup.exe file with administrative privileges.
Click Install on Veeam Backup & Replication.
Click OK to confirm.
Check I accept the terms of the Veeam license agreement.
Check I accept the terms of the 3rd party components license agreements.
Click Next.
Click Next.
Click Next.
Click Install to deploy missing features.
Click Next.
Uncheck Let me specify different settings.
Click Install.
Wait about 25 minutes for the installation to finish.
Click Finish.

Start Veeam Backup & Replication Console.
Select Home tab.
Select Backup Job > Windows computer.
Select Job Mode.
Choose Server for the Type.
Choose Managed by backup server for the Mode.
Click Next.
Type <Backup name> in the Name field.
Uncheck High priority.
Click Next.
Click Add and select Individual computer.
Type the computer name or IP address in the Host name or IP address field.
Click Add.
Type the administrator user in the Username field.
Type the password in the Password field.
Click OK.
Click OK.
Click Next.
Choose Entire computer.
Uncheck Include external USB drives.
Click Next.
Select Default Backup Repository (Created by Veeam Backup) for the Backup repository.
Type 31 for the Retention policy.
Uncheck Keep certain full backups longer for archival purposes.
Click Advanced.
Select Backup tab.
Uncheck Create synthetic full backups periodically.
Click OK.
Click Next.
Check Enable application-aware processing.
Click Next.
Uncheck Run the job automatically.
Click Apply.
Uncheck Run the job when I click Finish.
Click Finish.

Attach the VeeamRecoveryMedia.iso as CD/USB on the computer/VM and boot from it.
Select Bare Metal Recovery.
Choose Network storage.
Click Next.
Choose Veeam backup repository.
Click Next.

Type <Veeam server name/IP> in the Veeam backup server name or IP address field.
Type Administrator in the Username field.
Type the password in the Password field.
Click Next.
Expand <Backup job>.
Select <Computer name>.
Click Next.
Click Next.
Choose Entire computer.
Click Next.
Click Restore.
Click Finish.
Click Yes to reboot the computer/VM.
Detach the VeeamRecoveryMedia.iso.
