AOMEI Backupper

1. Disk Backup

  • Start AOMEI Backupper.

  • Select Backup.

  • Select Disk Backup.

  • Type SMRU--YYYY-MM-DD-#GB (ComputerName-Date-Size).

  • Select Step1.(Select the disks you need to backup)

  • Select Disk0. (The disk you want to backup)

  • Click Add.

  • Select Step2.

  • Select X:\Disk Images\AOMEI Backupper.

  • Click Open.

  • Click Start Backup.

  • Wait about 8 minutes for the backup to finish.

  • Click Finish.

  • Close AOMEI Backupper.

2. Restore Disk Backup

  • Start AOMEI Backupper.

  • Select Restore.

  • Uncheck System Restore.

  • Select All Backups.

  • Click >> button.

  • Select Disk Backup.

    □ System Restore        All Backups     Disk Backup
  • Select Path.

  • Select X:\Disk Images\AOMEI Backupper\SMRU--YYYY-MM-DD-#GB\SMRU--YYYY-MM-DD-#GB.adi.

  • Click Open.

  • Select Full Backup.

  • Click Next.

  • Select Disk.

  • Select Disk0.

  • Click Next.

  • Select Disk0.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Yes to confirm.

  • Click Start Restore.

  • Wait about 25 minutes for the restore to finish.

  • Click Finish.

  • Close AOMEI Backupper.

3. Clone Disk

Note: Both source and destination disk should have same GPT or MBR.

  • Create partitions for UEFI/GPT.

  • Type diskpart in cmd.

    list disk
    Select disk X
    clean
    conver gpt
    exit
  • Start AOMEI Backupper.

  • Select Clone.

  • Select Disk Clone.

  • Select Disk0.(Select the disks you need to clone)

  • Click Next.

  • Select DiskX.(Select the Destination Disk)

  • Click Next.

  • Select Align partition to optimaize for SSD.

    Edit partition on the destination disk
    □ Sector by sector clone
    ■ Align partition to optimaize for SSD
  • Click Start Clone.

  • Wait about 20 minutes for the clone to finish.

  • Click Finish.

  • Close AOMEI Backupper.
